Learn best practices to share research with your team members and collaborate on reports

Updated over a week ago

We designed Marvin so that everyone in your team can easily find, collaborate on and share research easily.

Projects and Project groups

You can share projects with team members so that they can view the files and/or analyze them.

You can also create project groups. For example, a group titled Marketing can contain all projects relevant to the marketing team. Organizing projects this way makes it easy to share access.

Pods

You can create Pods within your Marvin team to organize your team members and share projects with specific groups. For example, you might find it handy to create Pods for Sales, Marketing, etc.

Live notes and Live chat

With Live Notes, you and your team members can take notes at the same time from the same shared view. You can do this live during an interview.

You can also chat during the call with other note takers and viewers watching a live stream of the call

Discussion guides

You can create discussion guides for projects to share interview questions with team members. This ensures that data is gathered uniformly across the project.

Tag a team member on a note

If you want to bring a note to someone’s attention, you can add a reply to the note. Type @ and tag the colleague. They will receive a notification via email. You can also share a link to the note, add it to an Insight, or add it to a Playlist.

Create and share Insights

You can create documents called Insights that contain data, playlists and analysis of your research. This is a handy way to share research findings.

You can also comment on Insights to collaborate on the documents.

Label templates

Organize notes consistently by using a standardized label template across one or more projects.

Share clips and playlists

You can easily share small clips from a call with a team member rather than the entire recording. Add multiple clips on the same topic to a playlist to reinforce your point.

Discover research

Team members can focus on Insights, and repository-wide analysis to gather crucial information.

Research Digest newsletters

You can automate sharing of research within your team. Once every two weeks, Marvin will email you Research Digest, a customized newsletter highlighting your team's latest research. Catch up on three recent and public Insight reports created by team members.

To make sure everyone in your team receives the Research Digest, enable it from Admin settings

You can also share your research by exporting it to Miro, Figma, Asana, Notion, Confluence and other applications with our integrations.
