Search and edit the transcript, make notes, use Ask AI and lots more

Updated over a month ago

In case you didn’t get a chance to take Live Notes during a call, you can always make notes for it after you finish recording.

You can also do a lot more with Marvin’s Annotation Tool. Read a summary of the recording, edit the transcript, download the video, analyze the file and lots more.

The Annotation Tool

Once the call is processed, you’ll see it in the project folder you selected while recording.

To access the recording, click on the call. You’ll be able to access all the features of the Annotation Tool here.

Edit and search the transcript

You can edit any part of the transcript by simply clicking on it and typing out the change.

To quickly locate insights in the recording, you can also search the transcript for keywords. When you search for a word in the transcript, you’ll see all instances where it’s mentioned.

Click the search and replace icon if you need to fix the spelling of a word. You can do this for a single instance or every time it appears in the transcript.

Read, edit or regenerate summary

You’ll see an AI-generated summary of the call to the right.

Click to read the entire call summary. You can even edit and regenerate the summary from this page.

You may want to edit the summary to make it more detailed and add context. If you ask Marvin to regenerate the summary, it will incorporate your inputs in the transcript. Other users often refer to call summaries, and it is a good idea to add as much detail as possible.

To return to the recording, click ‘X’ on the top right corner.

Below the summary, you’ll see the words repeated most often in the transcript. The numbers next to them indicate how many times they were spoken on the call. Click on a word to see where it appears in the transcript.

You can swap or unassign speakers, and even add new speakers in case they weren’t automatically detected.

Create notes and auto notes

This is one of the features you’ll use the most. Just highlight any portion of the transcript and start typing a note. Click ‘Create Note’ to save the note.
