Integrate your repository with Rally

Import research participant data from Rally into Marvin

Updated this week

Recruit and manage participants in Rally, then analyze and store findings in Marvin. Automatically sync participant data between Rally and Marvin to power smarter research. Use this data to streamline interviews, surface participant data in AI analysis, and understand customers better.

How do I integrate my Rally and Marvin accounts?

On the Integrations page in Marvin, click “Connect” under the Rally icon.

Copy the security key generated and head over to the integrations page under Settings in Rally.

After you select “Connect”, paste the security key you generated in Marvin. Once you verify and Save, you’ll be able to manage your Marvin integration.

To start syncing data, you need to map a property in Rally to a field in Marvin. The email address and name will be mapped by default.

Map participant data like screener responses, integration data from Salesforce, BigQuery or Snowflake, panel signup forms and more.

Please note that one property in Rally can be mapped to only one field in Marvin. The same Rally data cannot populate multiple fields in Marvin.

Once you link two fields, select whether Rally or Marvin should be considered the source of truth in case the data varies across the two tools.

Confirm the sync. Only the first time you do this, you'll see a sync in progress in the Research Panel on Marvin. Once it’s complete, refresh the page to see the data.

How do I identify which data was imported from Rally?

The first column in the Marvin Research Panel will have a Rally logo next to it if the data was imported from Rally. Participant data already in Marvin will be updated to the data imported from Rally.

How often is the data synced?

Marvin automatically syncs between the mapped fields once a day. You can also trigger this manually at any time by selecting “‘Refresh” against Rally when you click “Add new participant”.

That way, each time you update information in Rally, you can access the data in Marvin.

You can check past syncs under “Sync history” in Rally.

How do I use Rally data in Marvin?

You can use Rally participant data to enhance your analysis of a segment and learn more about your customers. Marvin helps you keep track of how often someone was interviewed and even creates a summary of what they said. Click “View” against any participants name in the Research Panel to access these details.
