How do I work in Marvin from Figma Make
Create reports and designs with Figma Make, then add them to Marvin without leaving your chat.
We tried in Figma Make to create a slide on Ask AI.
It used the Ask AI tool to pull information from Marvin about the features and benefits.
After making changes to the design, we prompted Figma Make to add the slide to a report in Marvin.
While creating an Insight report, remember to:
Specify the project where you want to add the report
Mention share permissions. To collaborate with team members in Marvin or edit further, create a shared or private draft. To share your work with everyone, publish the report. By default, Marvin will create a private draft if you don’t specify.
Review the report before you add it to Marvin
Once the report is ready, Figma make adds it to the specified project. You can open the Insight in Marvin by clicking the link in the chat.
Best practices to surface insights in Figma Make
The data and insights you see in Figma Make will depend on how the two tools speak to each other. You can give Figma the right context to surface customer knowledge that is most relevant to your question.
We recommend you mention as many filters or parameters to help Figma find the right data in Marvin. You could mention the time period, project name, file name, customer, plan, segment, file tag, label, etc. to narrow down your search.
For example, you could ask, “What features did new users request in 2026? Search across Project X”. Or “List the workflows and jobs mentioned most often by product teams in EU-based companies between June and November 2025.”
If you are searching for specific files, include the word “search” in your prompt. For example, “Search for the 5 most recent sales calls in the Demo folder”.
If you would prefer to receive results as an Ask AI answer analyzed by Marvin, specify that Figma should run an Ask AI query.
Similarly, you can also ask Figma to summarize files and reports on Marvin.
How do I verify the insights from Marvin?
Responses in Figma Make will include clickable citations that take you to the exact source in Marvin. You'll see the citations as inline links in the text, like [link to insight] or [link to transcript]. Click to view the file or published report in Marvin to verify and learn more.
