User calls are a great way to identify feature requests, bugs, and feedback on design and UI. But it's easy to make notes and not act on them. Use our integration to conveniently export notes in Marvin to tickets in Jira.
Integrating your Jira account
To begin exporting notes to Jira, you need to connect it to your Marvin account.
Navigate to ‘Integrations’ in the left navigation bar and click ‘Connect’ under Jira.
You can also integrate your accounts the first time you try to export a note.
You will see a new tab open* with the login page for Jira.
*Please check your browser settings in case you have blocked pop-up windows.
Once you enter your credentials, you will have to grant access to Marvin.
Once you integrate, Marvin can do the following:
Browse Projects: This is a fundamental permission needed to access any project in Jira. Your app needs this to view and interact with issues in the ‘userfocusapp.atlassian.net’ project.
View Issues: To view ‘jira-user’ and ‘jira-work", Marvin needs permission to view issues within the project.
Edit Issues: To update "jira-work", Marvin needs to be able to edit issues. This permission also grants the ability to view issues.
User Permissions:
View 'me': This likely refers to the ability for your app to access information about the currently logged-in user. This is usually handled through the authentication process and may not require a specific Jira permission.
You’re now ready to start exporting from Marvin to Jira.
