Why should you customize the notetaker name?
Admins on Enterprise plans can customize the name of the recording bot/notetaker for meetings on Zoom and Microsoft Teams. You can choose a name that reflects your team or company branding.
The default name of the notetaker is Marvin. Admins can customize the name for the entire team.
Every time the bot joins a call to record it, participants will see the name you set.
Only Admins on Enterprise plans can customize the name of the Marvin notetaker.
How do I change the name of the notetaker?
Navigate to Admin Settings from Settings in the left navigation menu,
Select the Bot recording & streaming tab.
Click Change name under Bot name. Type the new name and click Save to proceed.
You will see the notetaker name change immediately for all future meetings.
How do I enable/disable the recording alert?
Admins may choose to show an alert to all participants in meetings that are recorded by the Marvin notetaker.
When enabled, Marvin sends an alert to the chat for all meetings in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet, every time a new participant joins the call. This applies to all meetings where a member of your team sends the Marvin notetaker to record the call.
To enable the alert, toggle on Marvin bot recording consent message. The toggle will be off by default for a new team.
How do I modify the recording alert?
You can customize the message according to your company guidelines, especially if you need to seek consent from participants before recording the call.
Edit the text in the box and click Save to update. You may also add a link to a privacy policy or company terms and conditions.
The default message shown in the chat is "This meeting is being recorded."

Q. Is this feature available to users on all plans?
A. Only Admins on Enterprise plans can customize the name of their bot and edit the recording alert.

A. At the moment, this feature is only available for Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

A. No, you the notetaker name will stay consistent across all calls it joins.

A. If the alert is enabled, Marvin will send the recording alert to the meeting chat every time a new participant joins the call. This ensures that you make all participants aware that the call is being recorded. Marvin will send the alert in all meetings where the notetaker is added, by any member of your team.
