Add transcript vocabulary
Updated this week

The transcript vocabulary feature under "Overview & Transcript" in Marvin allows users to manually add keywords that they expect to appear in their audio and video files. This feature helps the transcription engine accurately transcribe these specific terms. The system primarily uses the discussion guide, labels, and other data provided by the user to build the transcript vocabulary. However, users have the option to manually add words to further refine the transcription process.

By adding keywords to the transcript vocabulary, users can ensure that the transcription engine captures specific terms or phrases that are relevant to their research. This is particularly useful when conducting qualitative thematic research, as it allows for more accurate and comprehensive analysis of the transcribed data.

It's important to note that while Marvin's transcription engine is highly accurate, manual addition of keywords to the transcript vocabulary can further enhance the accuracy and relevance of the transcriptions. This feature gives users more control over the transcription process and allows them to tailor it to their specific research needs.
