Automatically add labels to notes

Auto-label your data while creating auto-notes

Updated yesterday

Marvin can help you automatically label notes on each file so you save time while annotating calls. It will check your existing project labels and apply them to relevant auto-notes.

How do I use auto-labelling?

Auto-labelling is available for every file in your Marvin repository. You can enable it while creating auto-notes.

Navigate to the file to access the Annotation tool. Select “Create auto-notes” from either the toolbar or notes menu.

Select the discussion guide and speakers to make auto-notes.

Enable “Auto-label AI-generated notes”

Marvin will only use your existing labels in the projects while auto-labelling. It will not create any new labels. This helps maintain consistency while annotating and gives you control over project labels.

Currently, you can only apply auto-labels to auto-notes. They will not be applied to notes you have created manually.

Best practices for auto-labelling

Accurate labels

Make sure that you add labels customized to your project data and the content you expect to gather from interviews. For example, if you are gathering user feedback on your product’s UX, include labels that account for a range of inputs Some of these could be — painpoints, concerns, requests, customer love, navigation, accessibility.

If you have not created any labels for the project, you will need to add them before you can auto-label. You can use the label templates provided in Marvin to get started. You can still make auto-notes without labels.

Include discussion guides

Adding a discussion guide can help Marvin make more accurate auto-notes. Make sure that your labels are in sync with the questions you ask. Marvin will use the participant’s answers and call context to create auto-notes and identify relevant labels.
