Marvin integrates with multiple survey tools, including Pendo, Qualtrics, Google Forms, Dscout, and SurveyMonkey. You can also upload CSV files containing survey data.
Whether you’re analyzing surveys with NPS scores, feedback, or to build a participant database, Marvin is designed to help you extract key insights.
Use AI analysis to combine this with other customer knowledge in your repository.
Viewing survey data in Marvin
Marvin presents all the survey data in three tabs:
1. Questions
3. Responses.
Questions
You’ll see all the data grouped by question in this tab. Select any question to see responses from all participants in one view
You can also run Ask AI from the section on the right in this tab.
Individual respondents
Use this tab to view data grouped by respondent. You'll see all answers of a respondent in a single view. Easily navigate between respondents by clicking on their name
Responses
To view all responses in one, easy-to-read table, head to the Responses tab. You can add file tags, and edit and delete participant data directly from the table.
Filter survey data
You have a few options to filter and analyze the survey data.
Click Filters in any of the three views (Questions, Individual Respondents and, Responses) to see the drop down menu to filter questions.
You can apply multiple filters here. For example, you can focus on a data set of users who "Use your product twice a week" and are "Windows users".
Similarly, you can choose to see only the single-choice, multiple-choice, NPS or ranking responses when you click the drop down menu that says Single choice.
Visualize survey data
Marvin can present all the metadata or quantitative data in a bar graph or pie chart (or notes in case of open-ended questions) when you click Pie Chart. You'll see the open-ended responses or qualitative data as notes in case of open-ended questions. You can use these notes for analysis and cross-project analysis.
You’ll also have an option to add a survey question as a field to the research panel.
Analyze with Ask AI
To derive insights, type in any questions and prompts in the Ask AI bar in the Questions tab. Use it to identify trends, patterns and outliers. Use it to speed up your analysis, focus on specific questions or participants, and surface hard-to-identify insights.
You have flexibility to analyze data from one, multiple, or all questions in the survey. Click Attach questions in the Ask AI bar, tick to select the relevant questions, and type your query.
Marvin will identify insights and trends in the selected data. You can ask it to highlight key takeaways, pain points, identify jobs, find patterns across cohorts, etc.
Change question type
If you categorized a survey question incorrectly while importing, you can change it at any point.
To convert an open-ended response to a close-ended one, select "Convert notes to raw data" under "Action".
Similarly, convert an open-ended question to a close-ended one by selecting "Create note for each response" under "Actions".
You can also re-categorize close-ended questions as single choice, multi choice, ranking, or NPS.
