What is Marvin Live Intercept?
Marvin Live Intercept is the first live AI interviewer that automatically captures in-the-moment customer feedback.
Marvin Live Intercept brings the interview into the customer experience itself. You can set a trigger on any webpage or within your product, and Marvin launches an AI interviewer to capture user feedback while they are still moving through a workflow. Instead of asking users to remember what happened later, you can immediately capture what they are doing, what is getting in their way, and what they need next, as it happens.
Users can share their screens to show exactly where they got stuck and what they expected, giving you context that surveys, static forms, and delayed interviews often miss.
Who will have access to Marvin Live Intercept?
Marvin Live Intercept will be available for demo starting July 6, 2026, with broader customer access later in 2026. Learn more.
When should I use Marvin Live Intercept?
With Marvin Live Intercept, you can collect qualitative feedback to:
See how users react to a new feature: Interview customers as they try a new feature to learn what is clear, what is confusing, and what may prevent repeat use.
Learn why users drop off: Launch an interview when a customer abandons onboarding, checkout, or another critical workflow, while the reason is still top of mind.
Improve pricing and packaging: Talk to visitors on pricing pages to uncover objections, missing information, and the questions stopping them from converting.
Test messaging: Capture landing page feedback to understand whether the value proposition is clear, credible, and relevant.
Scale moderated research: Run AI-led interviews across products, segments, and markets simultaneously.
Install Marvin Live Intercept in your webpage or product
Before you set up an Intercept to talk to users, you must connect it to your webpage or product by making a small change to the domain's code. Next, select a discussion guide which contains instructions for the AI Interviewer and the questions you want to ask participants. You can use an existing discussion guide, create a new one from scratch, or use a template.
Triggers
From the Triggers tab, you can control when visitors are intercepted.
Based on the rules you set, Marvin will trigger the widget to pop-up and nudge visitors to give feedback.
You can choose to launch it automatically when a criteria is met, or only when someone clicks on a button or link.
For each option, you can add more criteria and combine multiple rules with and/or functions. Use this quick reference guide to identify which trigger to use.

What is the user experience like?
Visitors to your website or app will see the widget when the trigger condition you set up is met. If they agree to give feedback, the AI Interviewer will begin the session and follow your discussion guide for the entire interview. The entire session is an audio interview, and users cannot give text-based feedback.
The browser may request mic access if it isn’t already granted.
Users cannot complete the interview if they refuse mic access.
Participants can share their screen to show what they expected or where exactly they got stuck.
Once the interview ends, the widget will automatically close. You can find each interview in the project you selected.
Where can I check the feedback?
Capturing feedback in the moment is only the first step. Every completed AI interview flows directly into the project you selected during setup.
Search the transcript and analyze the interviews along with other sources of customer knowledge. You can connect the feedback to what the team already knows about that customer, including past research, NPS scores, support tickets, sales notes, product feedback, and previous conversations.
You can also set up a Slack notification with a direct link to the full recording and transcript for every new interview.
How do I edit, disable or delete an Intercept?
Head to the Intercept tab from the left navigation menu. To stop collecting more responses, toggle the interview to Inactive.
To edit or delete the Intercept, click the three dots against the interview and select the relevant option.
You cannot restore an Intercept or the recorded feedback once you delete it.
FAQs

Q. How do I sign up for Marvin Live Intercept?
A. Please book a demo. A member of our team will reach out to you after you sign up.
Q. Can users type out their answers?
A. No, the AI Interviewer conducts an audio interview to gather more detail. It adapts in real time to participants' questions. Participants can also share their screen to add more visual details about their feedback.
Q. How is Marvin Live Intercept different from an intercept survey?
A. In a survey, participants give answers to questions you already thought of. Marvin's AI Interviewer adapts the conversation to the participant, follows up on what's surprising, and captures screen shares, so you get depth and the why behind the feedback.
