Adding teammates to Marvin is quick and easy. Admins can choose whether new users sign up directly or only by invitation.
Admins can control this setting for the entire team. When it’s turned off, users must have an invite to join. This article shows you how to send invites and bring new users into your workspace.
Who can invite new users?
All Admins can invite users to Marvin. They can also extend this access to Contributors by enabling "Allow contributors to invite new users" in Admin settings.
You can invite a user to join your team on Marvin in two ways:
1. Invite from "Team"
Click "Team" in the left navigation menu and select "Invite User".
You can invite multiple teammates at once. Past all email addresses, separated by commas. New users will be asked to provide their name and role on sign-up.
If you include an email that already has a Marvin account, it will be highlighted in red. You won't be able to proceed unless you edit or remove the email.
Carefully choose the role and permissions you want to assign to the invited teammate(s). Marvin will show you how many remaining seats your team has for the role.
If you're inviting multiple people at the same time, all of them will be assigned the role you select. You can read more about the differences between Viewers, Note takers, Contributors, and Admins in our help center article.
You can also assign invitees to relevant Pods based on their role and responsibilities.
Your teammate(s) will receive an invitation email. Once they accept, they will be able to create an account.
2. Invite to a specific project
You can also invite someone to your team by sharing a project with them. You can do this from the home page.
Find a project that you'd like to share with the person. Click the project sharing icon.
You'll see a list of options on your screen. Scroll down and click "Invite by email".
Fill in their email address, name, and the role and permissions you want to grant them
Click "Invite and Share Project".
The person will receive an invitation email. Once they accept, they can create an account.
