Check out our interactive insights report for the most current documentation on Taking Live Notes
One of the coolest ways to use Live Notes is to tag your interview in real time. This allows you to run analysis once your interviews are complete without extra work.
When you add preloaded labels for each project, they show up for you and your team as you’re conducting your interviews. Just click on the right tag — or type in a hashtag and your preloaded labels will populate or create one on the fly by clicking “make new.”
You can also tag your interview with questions by adding your interview guide to Marvin when you create your project. This way your whole team can see the questions guide on the right-hand side during their interview. Similar to the labels, just click on the question as you ask it during the interview. For example, I can jot a quick note, and I can add a label to tag it with one of our preloaded labels. Wait to hit return until the interviewee is done answering the question so the notes capture the precise timestamp. These timestamps tell Marvin to sync your notes to the right moments within your video when we process the recording at the end of the call.
Tagging your notes live like this helps you organize your data for analysis later. It also saves you hours of time you’d usually spend manually reviewing and tagging your interviews after they’re over.
